Dentures are prosthetic appliances designed to replace missing teeth and restore the function and appearance of a complete smile. They come in two main forms: complete dentures, which replace an entire arch of teeth, and partial dentures, which fill in gaps when some natural teeth remain. Complete dentures are placed after all remaining teeth in an arch have been removed, and the gum tissue has healed.
